Role Overview

Phase Pal is a free-to-play Steam app developed by Consistency AI that overlays customizable, animated 3D AI characters on your Windows desktop, letting you chat with them in real-time for role-playing, companionship, or assistance while gaming. Characters can also optionally react to your screen content for more contextual interactions.

We are seeking a Unity C# Developer to work on Phase Pal by building core animation systems, rigging, and interactive behaviors for our anime avatars. You will join as a key contributor to shape the desktop app from prototype to polished product, with potential to grow into a lead role.

Our Stack

  • Unity (C# scripting, Animator Controller, Timeline)
  • Blender/Maya (Asset creation)
  • Vroid Studio (VRM models)
  • Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Storage)
  • Next.js (web companion for account management)
  • Python backend (API endpoints)

You Might Be a Fit If You

  • Have shipped Unity projects with C#
  • Are strong in Unity animation (rigging, state machines, blend trees) or broad Unity development (physics, UI, performance tuning)
  • Know how to integrate 3D assets seamlessly and optimize for desktop performance
  • Bonus: Experience with anime-style character animation; passion for desktop personalization or gaming mods
